Training

As the education leader for the autism community, we have a multitude of training opportunities throughout the state of New Jersey and beyond, including full day workshops on Applied Behavior Analysis/Verbal Behavior, weekend workshops, and our 5 Part Evening Training Series.  We also offer workshops on various topics related to autism such as medical concerns, guardianship, coping strategies for families, IEP development and others.   POAC’s training offerings are available to parents, teachers, paraprofessionals, direct services providers, and administrators. POAC also offers Autism Shield, training for law enforcement and emergency services providers.  All workshops require registration and are almost always offered with no fee to participants (any exceptions will be noted).  If fees are to be charged, payment may be made by check, credit card, or school purchase order. 

Pioneers in teacher training, POAC has provided thousands of hours of in-depth instruction to teachers throughout the tri-state area through various programs.   POAC remains committed to giving teachers of children with autism the knowledge and support necessary for their students to reach the fullest potential possible.
