Good IEPs – What They Can and Should Look Like

If your child receives special education services, he or she must have an Individualized Education Program (IEP). This is a contract that spells out everything about your child's program including his or her learning needs, the services to be provided, and how progress will be measured. The IEP will include the goals and objectives for the program as well as many other sections, including parent input. This session will discuss:
  • The different sections of the IEP
  • Contents of the IEP
  • What good goals and objectives should look like
  • Measuring progress
  • Parent input to the IEP process and the document itself
