Summer Fun, Fitness, and Safety Celebration

Join us for a day of fun in and out of the pool, and sample some of the great programs and services offered by the local community. This free event is offered to children with autism and other developmental disabilities and their families. We will have free time in the pool*, a Get Fit program demonstration, Zumba, pizza, refreshments and more.
In addition to all the fun activities, you can sign your child up for a 20 minute class, Intro to Safety Around Water, which takes place in the pool*. Drowning is the leading cause of death for children with autism. Let’s reduce the risk by teaching children how to swim. This event will help you take the first steps while getting great information on how to keep your children happy, healthy, and safe all summer long. It’s all free but you must register.
Get Your School Involved
POAC makes it so easy for you to raise awareness and help children with autism. We provide everything you need and help you to promote your event. Students will be helping others while earning community service hours and learning about autism. New Jersey has the largest population of people with autism in the entire country. In our state the rate is 1 in 35. That means that the money you raise will help people right in your own school and community.
