Nearly half of all individuals with autism wander (elope), often ending in tragic results. Many individuals with autism are at risk regardless of where they are on the spectrum. This training provides resources, tools, and real-life strategies to help reduce the risk and increase the safety of these children and adults. The workshop will cover:
- Preparation strategies
- GPS/tracking/locating devices
- Search strategies
- Securing your home
- Collaboration techniques between home and school
Participants will also receive resources for reducing the risks.
