Health care professionals need to prepare, be creative, and have a sense of humor when caring for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental disabilities. In general, children with autism have greater difficulty understanding and responding appropriately to potentially dangerous items or situations. This workshop will help the school nurse understand:
