This workshop provides a parent’s prospective of autism from earliest signs to adulthood. It covers the signs and symptoms of autism, treatment options, educational issues, and real life coping strategies. It is intended to help parents of newly diagnosed children understand autism, what to potentially expect from the condition, and how to start advocating for their children as early as possible. It is presented by professionals in the field who are also parents of young adults with autism. These parents have had a great deal of experience navigating the system and pass their knowledge on.
