For Community Services Providers: How to Include Individuals with Autism

 

People with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) are  as  varied as anyone and present with their own  set of skills and challenges. With autism on the rise and more focus on community involvement, you will encounter individuals with ASD in your settings. This workshop will focus on the following:

  • Autism Spectrum Disorders and the signs and symptoms
  • How to recognize individuals who may have or are at risk for autism and other developmental disabilities
  • Techniques and Strategies for Including Individuals with ASD in community programs and services – What to do, what not to do
