This workshop is designed as an in-service for classroom staff working with early learners on the autism spectrum. It provides an overview of autism, how it effects the learning process, and evidence-based teaching procedures. Specifically the following will be covered:
- How to begin teaching communication skills
- Reinforcement and how to effectively use it in the teaching process
- Effective Teaching Strategies Including Prompting Procedures
- Working with Problem Behavior
This workshop is appropriate for all classroom staff including instructional aides, paraprofessionals, and specials teachers.
